Medication Side Effects

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, at least half of all Americans take prescription drugs. Unfortunately, many medications intended to help a patient can cause harm or life-threatening side effects such as depression and suicidal thoughts. As an example, in May 2000, BJ Stupak, the son of a congressman, tragically committed suicide after taking Accutane to treat his severe acne, with no prior history of mental illness.

Along with drug safety Drugwatch.com hopes to educate about suicide prevention by warning against drugs that can result in severe depression such as the side effects of accutane.
